SDM Corporate Finance Group served as exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Malvé in the sale to Van Gils Group

The company Malve – Meerse Aluminium Verwerking – is an independent family business founded in 1972 by Alfons and Louis Sprangers. Starting from the development of aluminium windows and doors, a first anodisation line was built for profiles up to a maximum length of 7 metres. In 1998, Bert and his wife Ilse Laurijssens took over Malve. Since then, they have constantly invested in growing, optimising and making production more sustainable. In 2021, a growing secondary activity of Malve, namely specialising in various machining operations on aluminium profiles, was spun off into the company Alcom. Both the operations of Malve and Alcom are acquired by Van Gils Group. With the ability to offer anodisation within the Van Gils Group alongside powder coating, this deal strengthens the proposition towards aluminium processors. The market is moving towards more sustainable products and production environments, not only does anodisation fit into this movement, Malve has invested heavily in sustainable production over recent years.
