Founded in 1994, Industriekeramik Hochrhein (IKH) specializes on the development and production of fine and ultra-fine oxide and non-oxide ceramic powders. With around 30 employees today, the focus is particularly on boron carbide, zirconium oxide and silicon carbide; ceramic powders that are used in a wide range of applications, including the defense industry, the aerospace industry, but also areas such as the semiconductor industry or medical technology.
DZ BANK AG advised the owner of IKH on the sale of a majority stake to Turkey-based Nurol Teknoloji. Nurol is a family-owned group of companies with over 35 companies and more than 15,000 employees. The subsidiary Nurol Teknoloji develops and produces powder for the manufacture of ballistic ceramics and protective equipment.
