Rembrandt M&A advised Dräger Nederland for its divestment of the Fire & Gas business unit to Unica Groep. The Fire & Gas business unit of Dräger is a value added reseller of fire and gas detection systems, providing installations as well as subsequent maintenance services for its B2B customers. In addition, the business unit is engaged in the sale of fire extinguishers and related products such as evacuation systems, emergency lighting and fire blankets. Unica is a family-owned, all-round technical services provider with extensive expertise in energy, ICT, security and installation engineering. In 2017, private equity firm Triton acquired a majority stake in Unica. The Fire Safety division of Unica offers a total package of fire safety solutions, from active fire protection to passive fire protection.
