Airquality Group NV was founded in 1989 by Patrick Gepts and Benny De Bruyn. The company is situated on a central location in Flanders, which enables nationwide coverage. The company consists of two business units: Airquality and ProQitchen. With the Airquality business unit the company is specialised in the installation of heat pumps, where it realises 500+ installations per year. Airquality Group NV is an accredited Daikin super deal since 1998, as one of the first in Belgium. The second business unit, ProQitchen, is specialised in installation and long term maintenance of industrial kitchens and kitchen machinery. ProQitchen has the exclusive import rights for a prominent producer of industrial kitchen machinery.
SDM-Valorum was mandated by Patrick Gepts and Benny De Bruyn to sell 100% of the shares in the company. Ultimately, both shareholders reinvested in the new holding company that acquired Airquality Group NV to support Michal Piatkowski.
