DNV GL AS, the Norway based provider of testing, certification and advisory services in the electrical power value chain has acquired Marine Cybernetics AS, the Norway based third party testing of computer control systems on ships and offshore installations from Statoil Technology Invest, the Norway based private equity firm, for an undisclosed consideration.
The transaction is in line with DNV strategy to to ensure safe and reliable operations and expand services. Post acquisition, Marine Cybernetics will operate as a independent company.
