Cellfish is a digital media group that publishes, aggregates and distributes on a subscription basis a portfolio of originally branded casual content such as music, video, games, animations and community applications.
Cellfish operates also a BtoBtoC business model by offering its services under a white or grey labeling basis to media groups or telco operators. Cellfish clients are based in 9 countries including France, Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Australia, Portugal.
Formerly owned by Lagardère Group, French mobile content distributor Cellfish has been acquired by investment fund HLD Europe and its management in a leveraged buy out. The new owner will support the company’s strategy to strenthen its position in France and in Europe and to pursue the development of music and video streaming services. Cellfish chairman Nicolas d’Hueppe remains in place and HLD’s Gabriel Fossorier has been appointed chairman of the supervisory board.
