“Maes Industries is a company specialised in HVAC installation, repair and maintenance,” says the CEO, Jimmy Maes. “I started operations in 2005 as a sole proprietorship but it soon became clear that more manpower was needed to get all the work done. One year later, I founded the bvba Maes Industries together with my first employee, Jan Laeremans.Jimmy Maes and Jan Laeremans, both shareholders of Maes Industries bvba since 2006, have expanded their business in recent years into a major player in the heating and air conditioning market. The company now has 45 employees and achieved a turnover of over 9 million Euro last year. To ensure the continuity of the company and the strong growth of recent years, both shareholders recently decided to attract new investors and include key employees in the shareholding. The aim is to expand the company further in the coming years. Over recent years, Maes Industries has achieved very strong growth, both in terms of turnover and workforce. “This year also began very strongly,” says Jimmy Maes. “Our turnover in the first two months is already well above expectations.”

The original shareholders decided to include a few key employees in the shareholding to continue this growth in the coming years and to ensure the continuity of the business. The Smart Deal concept of SDM-Valorum fits seamlessly with that need.

Attracting new investors and partners will not affect daily operations. As before, Jimmy Maes will be responsible for the daily management and sales management, while Jan Laeremans remains responsible for the operations.
Maes Industries operates from company premises built in 2013 at Hemeldonk in Herentals and serves both industrial and private customers across Belgium, with particular focus on the provinces of Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant. Maes Industries thereby uses materials from reputable suppliers such as Daikin, Renson and Viessman.
