Edelweiss Financial Services has successfully closed INR 77,350mn (c.US$ 1bn) IPO of Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) of Power Grid. It is the 1st InvIT IPO by a public sector entity and 3rd InvIT IPO in India. A strong yield play with fully contracted long-term cash flows & minimal counter party risk.
InvIT listed at a premium of 4%. Edelweiss was highest procurer in the anchor segment as well as overall QIB book and in a 4-bank syndicate, Edelweiss procured 3 out of the top 6 investors. Edelweiss provided guidance on various deal contours and timing nuances.
