SIK Peitz goes back to the foundation of VEB Instandsetzung Kraftwerke in 1980 and was part of Bilfinger since the acquisition of Babcock Borsig Service Group in 2005.
The service offering for lignite power plants and open cast mining machines covers the entire life cycle, from engineering and construction, commissioning, maintenance and repair to the fabrication of boiler components. Main focus of operations is on maintenance, repair and major overhauls of lignite power plants.
The transaction enables Bilfinger to further concentrate on its core business following a strategic realignment.
As a stand-alone company, SIK Peitz GmbH will be able to explore new opportunities and business potentials beyond lignite power generation. In cooperation with management, Radial Capital Partners aims to strengthen and further extend SIK’s competencies both in their core, but also in new markets by leveraging their industry expertise and industry network as well as through further investments.
