Belbal was founded in 1984. The company has grown from a national latex balloon producer to an international leading group of companies focusing on production, printing and distribution of latex balloons. Since the foundation, the company has had a strong focus on export. Initially exporting in Western Europe, Belbal rapidly expanded with export to the USA, East & Central Europe and some overseas areas. Today Belbal is recognized within the industry as a leading European latex balloon producer and printer. The group has subsidiaries in different countries, including Belgium, Poland, the UK, Canada, the USA and Japan. Belbal products are exported to more than 50 countries.Furthermore, the group has developed its own technology for production and printing of balloons. It has its own development department and production studio in Canada for this. The Belbal group was acquired by Dovesco together with entrepreneurs Bart Van Nuffel and Jérôme Leclef. The buyers consider this transaction as a strategic investment. Their aim is to maintain the current strategy of the company and to continue to grow in order to keep Belbal’s success ensured. The operational management will keep fulfilling its roles and responsibilities in the different group companies.
